Desk Telephone Device

Desk Telephone Device
Western Electric USA, 1902 y.

General purpose device nicknamed the 'Eiffel Tower'.   Designed at the Bell Factory in Antwerp as a response to the then popular Ericsson ‘Skeleton’. The Eiffel Tower telephone really does have a similarity to the legendary Eiffel Tower. The telephone legs were made of aluminum, a new material at that time.
