LB System Wall Mounted Telephone Device
Stromberg – Carlson
This device had induction calling and a battery box. It used an electromagnetic microphone, Bell’s headset on a receiver hook and a polarized bell. A powerful electric battery (located in a separate box) allowed this device to be used in longer-distance networks. Because of the quality and reliability of its telephones in village areas, the Stromberg-Carlson earned the nickname ‘farmer’s friend’. It was used in the USA by State authorities and city institutions.
